Recall the Army major and people that Tatsuya spoke with earlier? For their second meeting, all of those guys were in the same room. Take note of them, they'll be more involved in the next plot arc and in the flashback arc. (which I'm doubtful we'll see, now.)
Finished S3.... this is actually a pretty good anime in this genre.... other than those moments in which the opponents want to talk a bit before their final attacks... Silly, but everyone does that... so it's hard to complain too much... and in this one, those scenes aren't every episode.... so it's easier to overlook.... this is definitely setup to last a decade like Naruto, which has to be the model for this shonen genre. I think S4 starts...
Old castlevanias or classicvanias did not feature any sort of bigger rpg elements - they were bassically REALLY hard action platformers.
Classicvania was all about spending multiple attempts on passing through a single level and cursing those damn medusa heads or insert-monster-name-here for foiling your genius playthrough. You were this badass roman-themed character who whips through hardest stuff...

I wouldn't mind seeing quarterly OVAs of it instead- the animation is so much more vibrant than the usual TV fare, and this series really demands all the detail with all the spirits and magic floating about.
